Laura Chludzinski, OTR/L
I am a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist with 35 years of experience specializing in orthopedic upper extremity and hand rehabilitation. During my 35 years of practice, I have learned many new techniques and started to focus on numerous soft tissue techniques including CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, instrument assisted soft tissue techniques (IASTM/Graston Technique®), joint mobilization, cupping and kinesio taping.
In addition to the skilled therapeutic work described above and my many years of continuing education, I am specialized in custom orthopedic splinting for upper extremity diagnoses such as carpal tunnel, tendonitis, nerve injuries, amputations, fractures, osteoarthritis/rheumatoid arthritis, pain syndromes, and numerous other upper extremity diagnoses. I have experience in work hardening/ergonomics, and have worked with post-op back, hip and knee patients related to activities of daily living.
While orthopedics is my main area of focus, I have also treated many neurological diagnoses as well. I understand the transition that patients go through starting from acute care to inpatient rehabilitation, to outpatient or extended care facilities to return to their previous levels of function.
Lastly and most importantly, I have learned my most valuable skills from all of my amazing patients over the years! I can’t wait to continue to learn and grow while helping you live your best healthy and happy life!
